  4. QUESTION 1
the functional view, in my opinion functional view is whereby for example in a class when a teacher is teaching a subject for example english, the method that is used to teach that particular subject for instant asking students to do a role play on a certain topic, if the students understand the topic with the method that is used that means the method is functional. sturctural view is whereby a teacher is using papers, books and so on to teach a subject in my opinion its boring and not effective. thats my view on the stuructural view.

    QUESTION 2
students can be tested and asessed in many ways such as quizes, researchers, mid term test, presentation, role play, group discussion and so on. why i say all the above is because quizes will help students to gain extra marks and teachers can evaluate how far the students understand a certain topic that has been tought by the teacher to the student. researches will help student to understand the topic better and it will help them to be expose to the net and find the information by them self. when teachers ask the students the question, if the studebts can response to the question that has been ask to the student that mean the student had done his research and understand about the topic. mid term test will help students to know the ability to answer the question and will also help them to know about their ability to answer the question and will also help them to know where is their weakness. presentation will help students to be more confident. it will help to increace the students level of confident when the talk infront of people about the topic that is given to them. by doing role play it will develop the students skills and they will enjoy doing so and understand better on what the are doing and the teachers can evaluate this role play by the effectiveness of the role play.

    QUESTION 3
the aim of test and asessments is to know whether a student understand or not a certain topic or subject that is being tought by the teacher. it is also to evaluate the students potential of understanding the topic. its also help the students to apply the knowledge rightfully. it also will encourage students to find or to know their mistakes after hte teacher ad check or marked their work.

    QUESTION 4
it was formed on 3 mei 1956. in 1957 there were many changes that had occur in this unit as for example te penyata razak. the changes have to be done because to have a better education system in malaysia.

    QUESTION 5
there are four types of major national examination that is in malaysia and that is UPSR( UJIAN PENILAIAN SEKOLAH RENDAH ), PMR( PENILAIAN MENENGAH RENDAH ), SPM( SIJIL PELAJARAN MALAYSIA ) AND STPM( SIJIL TINGGI PELAJARAN MALAYSIA ). UPSR,PMR AND SPM is compalsary exams that should be sit my all students in malaysia before living school. PMR will determine which stream will be a student will be placed in either science stream or arts. and SPM will determine the future of the student that have sat for these exams.

    QUESTION 6
in our philosophy class we are asesses in many ways. for example doing research and presentation, discussin between group members and also comunicating through blog. in my opinion it is a great way to asesses and tested as we wont feel bored by the things that our lecturer do with us to asessed us unlike other classes we are asessed the same way all the time. so with this we can express our opinion, share our opinion or have argumnetto come out with better results and understanding on a certain topic. it also help students to be more indipendent to finf information by our own instead of spoon feeding by our lecturer. it helps the students to find the information by surfing the net. as miss sarada always say information is just a click away....i will use the same method thats being used by beloved miss sarada in class to asess my students. this is my own opinion on question 6. thank you.

    Question 1
The functional view is the method that teacher used to teach a particular subject, for example by asking or giving a task to student to do, if the students can understand to the task, that means the method that used by teacher is functional.
The structural view is the way of teaching method that used is more traditional and not creative like not using the technology things, for example, PowerPoint to teach student. They only using textbook to teach so will make the learning process become not effective and bored in class.

    Question 2
The few ways students can be tested and assessed is give a group presentation. This can test the validity and gain experience on what they learn, by the way can ask students to write a report before presentation, then only present and explain it to class based on how far they know, understand and learn of the topic.
Other than that, using the true-false questions, multi-purpose questions, short answer questions, matching questions and fill-in the blanks questions. This also can test and assessed the students understanding of what they learn about in class. To make the teacher know who are fall in behind and can focus more to the students.
Third is can giving a task or research to students. This is because giving a task to students can make the students become more independence, critical thinking and work hard to find the information they needs and finish it. In addition, can make students to understand of the task first and can give the feedback to teacher based on their understanding. Task can make the student to do and use the information they found, not just memories but understand it.

    Question 3
The aim of tests and assessments is to make sure the level of understanding of students based on what they learn. This is because can make the teacher to know the weak learning student ,can more focus and help to improve the students academic and learning ,to guide they in a right way ,by changing the style of teaching method or skill.
Secondly, is to know the abilities perform in specific content areas. For example, in the tests and assessments giving by teacher to students, can make the teacher understand which type of study or course are suitable for students like might in science stream or art stream, to make sure the students have interest to continue their study.
Test and assessment can help students know their own mistake and correct it, to make sure can minimum the same mistake will not do it again in examination or future.
Other than that, can improving the communication skill of students. This is because by giving an oral assessment like presentation, speech, public speaking, debates and etc. Due to oral assessments will make the students interaction to other when they present something, at the same time also have the feedback or respond from audience.

    6. In my philosophy class we don’t use slides or notes in our learning and teaching process. But we still study and get knowledge.wht our madam cute will do is, she will ask us to do some small mini research on the topic she going to teach. The research we do will be our notes for the topic, so we are the teacher for our self. Its not easy yet it can be fun when doing research. This research will give us a lot of information. After research will bring the print out to class and discuss with our madam cute n frnds.
This will give us more idea and clear picture about the research and topic. When we do our research will have to read our research before bring it to class. So like or not we have to read. Group discuss is the way our madam cute will use in the class, in her class there is no answer “I DNT NO” n there is “NO WRITE”. Our madam cute give us quiz in the blog and test in the class. So we just have to get ready and go for it. All note will be post in the blog, any up date also will be in the blog. Why she give us this all in the blog because she wants us to get in touch with her most of the time and with the other class student. With this our class can exchanges ideas opinion and suggestions with them, this will also give a good team building in our class.
When I become an educator I will surely follow my madam tengku nor foots steps with my madam cute guide line. I can be sure my student will love me n my teaching, when they love me they will score good marks. I will make my class as the time of happiness as what my madam tengku nor is doing. With my madam cute style it will surely will b a great class.

At the end of primary education, standard six students will take this UPSR (Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah) examination. The Malay schools (SK) student take 5 subject that is Malay comprehension, written Malay, English, Science and Mathematics. I think I can make tests and assessments fun. In my Philosophy in Education class I will farm the students into the groups and ask the students to discuss about the topic that I gave to them. After that I ask them to tell their opinions to the class. I believe that, this will help the students to gain more knowledge from their friends and improve their communication skills. After the student’s discussion I will explain more about the topic that I gave to them. The second way is, I will use colorful power point slide to teach the students. I think this is more effective way and the students will not get bored easily. I also will give break to the students in middle of the class to freshness their mind. Other than that I will also ask question to the students randomly. I will give extra point or presents to the student who answers my question correctly. I believe that the way I teaching will make the students fall in love in this subject and they will do better in their test.

  26. in my opinion, test and assessment cannot be done in fun way. This is because assessment is done to give a student practice or give knowledge. It can be done in the way of discussion or as games. However test is where we test the students capabilty in doin a paper..it also test thier skills of knowledge..Test only can be done as induvidual.
This is why test couldn't be done as fun as assessment.
In our philosophy class our lecturer ask us to do reasearch about some titles. when we are given a task to do research we will try to gain information from any sources. This will give us alot of information. However when the teacher give explanation about the research it would help the student to understand more in detail. By giving a task to a student to do a research it will make the student more capable and be independent.

1)a)There have many functional view of testing and evaluation are in the integral components of teaching and learning. There are:
    Validity
The value of a test result is based on the premise that the test is a relevant and representative spot check and inspection in relation to the learning objectives. By this, the teacher will be able to understand the students understanding about the subjects that are teach by teachers based on the students result.

    Reliability
The marking of a test must be defensible and thorough and should do justice to then person being assessed. According to the students result, the teacher can rearrange the students according to the students ability and it’s can help teacher to teach the student according to the students understanding.

    Transparency
Transparency means that it should be clear to the student what is expected of him or her when being tested. By this, the students will learn more about what question is very important parts in that subject and will learn how to answer correctly to the question( open question and multiple choice).

    b) Structure can assist, and in many cases conduct and/or arrange, experimental evaluation and testing.
The structure is the material that used by teachers in their teaching process. One of the material is ICT Facilities. The teacher can make the subject more creative by using ICT Facilities. For an example, Power point slides, videos, and other material. The feedback from the students will get faster.

    a) The test score.
The test scores can be translated in to two major instruction finding. There are identity which students need remediation and which parts of instruction need to be improved. In other words, if few students fail a certain question, these students need remediation but if a great number of students don’t perform well, the instruction itself and the test item needs to be enhanced.

    b) Focus groups
A focus group is special kind of group discussion that is designed to elicit information about the wants , needs, viewpoints, belief’s of the students understanding.Group discussion will help students to gain more knowledge about the particular topic by other opinion. It;s because, in group discussion all students will work together about the particular topic and will get more detail about that topic by very easy.

    ding to the KBSM.
Other than that, STPM is a optional exam for the students. The students can continue their studies by doing STPM in government and private schools.STPM is a higher education exam in our country and it’s very important exam to enter university for doing bachelor education.

6)Philosophy in education class. When you become an educator how will you fest and assess your students?Do you think that you can test and assessment fun? Yes/No

    question 1
In my opinion the functional view its means the method that teacher used to teach a particular subject, for example for history subject teacher can use creative method to teach to the students for understand well. For example by asking or giving a task, role play to student to do, if the students can understand to the task, that means the method that used by teacher is functional. If the student understand the task means the result will be effective Teacher should not follow the traditional teaching style when she or he teaching in the classroom. The structural view means the method and skill that use by the teacher must be interesting and creative to get student attention.for an example teacher must be use PowerPoint slides, music and so on to make students interesting in particular subject.
    question 2,
There are few ways that the students can be tested and assessed. By doing quizzes end of each chapter teachers can identified the academic level of a student in the various subject Otherwise, by doing so, students will correct their mistakes and learn more for following chapters. Test and assessments can conduct the students to improve their knowledge and intelligence in systematic procedure. Another way is using several techniques such as role plays, power point presentation, demonstration, forums, debates, and research. By using these techniques it easily we can see student’s talents, understanding and the communication between an educator and students become more effective. This ways help teacher to test the student competence and also make students more independence.
    question 3,
The aim of test and assessments is the teacher will be known about student’s academic level. Another thing, the students also can identify themselves condition in their studies. So,the test and assessments will help students to improve their knowledge in particular subject.Otherwise, test and assessment also help teacher to improve their teaching method. It is because, when the teacher known students academic level, he or she have to change their teaching method to guide the students. They cannot use the same teaching method among good students and weak students. So, the teacher must use better way to teach weak students. Furthermore, test and assessment like presentation, role play, and forum help students improve their communication skills and remove their scariness.

    Question 6
In my philosophy class my lecturer madam Saradha Nair use many different way to tested and assessed the students. One of that is, my lecturer asks us to do research about a topic and ask us to bring the research to the class. Based on the research the lecturer will give some question and ask us form in to our group to discuss the topic that we done the research. Then she will go one by one group and ask them about their discussion. She also corrects the answer if the students answer wrong. Other than that, all students tested and assessed in a blog with forum, give idea and opinion, quiz and student can get marks if they participated in the blog. When I became a educator, I think that I can make tests and assessments more fun. In my class I will farm the students into the groups and ask the students to discuss about the topic that I gave to them.

Through presentation, we can evaluate the student's self confident and how they communicate with other people. Through research, we can evaluate the student's effort to get knowledge and find the answer the question. And lastly, question and answer session. In my Philosophy in Education class, the way we are tested and evalueted are more different than other classes. This is because in this class, our madam are using more creative way to test her student compare to other lecture. In this class,we the students are assigned to do a mini research every week on the class about the topic that are going to be discussed. We have to do the research by our ownselves and the main source of the research are from the Internet. At the class,we were sitted in a group and do the discussion on the topic group according question and we need to answer the question and this is the way she assessed us.By answering her question,we will able to think and there is no "dont know" answer that are expected from us.Besides that,in this class there are a blog in this classes. In this blog,we can download notes, share our opinions, ideas, thoughts and even chit chatting. With this blog, the people who are "diam-diam syndrome" can be actifly participate in this blog. When I became an educator,I will test and assessed my students by asking them to do presentation on the topic given.By doing presentation the students will understand more about the subject matter and will be more knowldgeable.By doing presentation also, the communicating skills and presentating skills can be increased. They will became more confidence and brave to speak.Besides that,I will assessed my students by doing the same way our Madam assessed us in the class.I will create a blog for my student so that they will keep connected with me although they are not in the class.Besides that,I will assessed my students by having roleplay or acting.I think roleplay will sure impact because they need to live up the charachter.Examples, for History subject, they can do a roleplay on the certain topics.I think I can make the test and assessement fun because its depends on the educators ability to make sure the assement fun.I will maybe allowed my students to listen to some songs or music during the test or examination.I will allow my students to bring Ipod or Mp3 devices during the examination. This will relax their minds and souls.Besides that,I will the make sure the test to be no more on writting ways like examination but more to acting, roleplay, presentation and more on.Because doing an writting examination will bored the students and give burden to the student to understand the subject.
